Important updates in this Notification:
* CPX for Linux and v3
* Apache 2.x for v3
* Enhanced Webmail (beta) for Linux, v3, and v2

* CPX
The CPX: Control Panel server management Web interface version 1.6.1 will be updated to address issues with user and domain display as well as moving and copying files. No action needed.
* Users
The default permissions of the home directory of new users will be updated to address issues with permissions. This update affects new user creation only. No action needed.
* Enhanced Webmail (beta)
Note: This is a beta release and at this time the software should not be used for mission-critical projects.
The vinstall for Enhanced Webmail will be updated to address issues with login by email address, Japanese language autoreply messages, and default window popup settings. To update existing installations of Enhanced Webmail, connect to your server through SSH and execute the following from the command prompt:
# vuninstall enhancedwebmail
# vinstall enhancedwebmail
* PHP 4.x
The vinstall for the PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor scripting language for version 4.x will be updated to install version 4.4.9. This version is the last planned 4.4.x release and addresses several security and other issues. More information about version 4.4.9 can be found at these pages:

It is recommended to update any existing installations of PHP 4.x. To update existing installations to the new, connect to your server through SSH and execute the following command from the prompt:
# vinstall php4
* Sendmailcert
The vinstall for sendmailcert, the proprietary Sendmail self-signed certificate utility, will be added to the system. More information about sendmailcert can be found by connecting to your account through SSH and executing the following from the command line:
# sendmailcert -h
To install a self-signed certificate using sendmailcert, execute the following from the command line:
# vinstall sendmailcert
* Majordomo
The vinstall for the Majordomo email list utility will be updated to address issues with default lists, add help text, and alias creation. This update affects the vinstall only. No action needed.

FreeBSD MPS/VPS v3:

* Apache
The Apache Web server will be updated to version 2.2.9. This version addresses security issues CVE-2008-2364 and CVE-2007-6420, discussed here:

The Web server will be restarted as part of this update. No action needed.
* Dovecot
The Dovecot email server will be updated to version 1.1.2_1. This version addresses issues with Lucene indexing, IMAP sorting, and several other issues. More information about version 1.1.2 can be found here:

The email server will be restarted as part of this update.
The vinstall for the Dovecot email server will also be updated to support the mbox email box format. To install Dovecot with mbox support or convert existing maildir email box formats to mbox, connect to your account through SSH and execute the following from the command prompt:

This update affects the vinstall only. No action needed.
* Enhanced Webmail (beta)
