Signature:
------------------------------

The following updates will be sent out to all Signature servers beginning on 2/18/2009.

* Mail Forward Characters Now RFC Compliant

Updated code so customers can now enter any characters authorized by the RFC for use in email forwards, in the Forward to: field of the Create Mail Forward or Edit Mail Forward window.
These characters are: a-z, 0-9, and the following special characters:
!, #, $, %, &, ', *, +, -, /, =, ?, ^, _, `, {, |, }, ~
Allowing these characters enables customers to create a wider variety of mail forwards, and removes the previous limitations (a-z, 0-9, and single quotes) on the field.

* File Manager

Updated code so that customers who delete a file or directory receive a confirmation message. This enables customers to know they had completed the deletion. Previously, files were deleted and the customer did not know if the action had occurred without looking for the file to make sure it was gone.

* Dovecot

Signature mail system upgraded by replacing the UW-IMAP POP3/IMAP server with Dovecot. Dovecot is an open source IMAP and POP3 server for Linux/UNIX-like systems. Dovecot is a pre-requisite technology for MailDir (MailDir is scheduled to launch in Q2 2009) and provides improved email performance for POP/IMAP on the Verio FreeBSD-based Signature platform.
